abs light
just got the new truck, i knew the abs light stayed on but now i want to know why,and how to get it shut off. It does not effect anything, its just annoying to look at!. > Got a piece of black eletrical tape over it right now. any thoughts?? :

I had the same problem but both my abs and brake light were on it turned out to be the speed sensor on top of the rearend it is easy to check block the wheels and jack up the rearend so both wheels are free to turn make sure you use jack stands then get an ohm meter and set it to 2000k ohms and then unplug the sensor and touch the meter terminals to the sensor terminals and have some one rotate the drive shaft truck must be in neutral and if it is good you should get a reading that increases with the speed of the drive shaft if your truck has 4 wheel abs like mine you need to check the ones on the front wheels also.
