99 Fog/Driving light bulbs info

Just something I found out and thought might be helpful.....
I had one of my Fog/Driving lights burn out on my 99 Sport, so I whipped out the owners manual and found the page with the part number for the bulbs. The manual gave the number 893 as the replacement. However, when I pulled the bulb out before I went in the store, I find that my truck has 896 GE bulbs in it from the factory. So I bought two 896 Sylvania's for $6.99 each from AutoZone. (the Sylvania's looked like they were a little more heavy-duty)
I don't know if the owners manual is a typo or DC used a different bulb in the Sport being 99 was the first year with the new bumper and just didn't put it in the manual.
???
Anyway,,,, pulling the bulb out and checking the number before you buy, might save you a trip back to the store. ;D
