Everyone thinks their car/truck is worth more than it really is. Offer him fair KBB price and when he can't sell it to anyone else maybe he'll come to his senses.

Think of all the upgrades you could do to a $5800 truck with $4200 and remember the old saying. A fool and his money are soon parted.

Sold my 95 ext. cab, it had new tires, auto tranny, deer guard bumper, gauges, excellent shape, no dents, no tares or worn seats several years back for $10,000 with 135,xxx miles on it. The guy drove from Apple Valley CA. to Central Oregon to buy it sight unseen, just pictures and my description .
I then bought a 2006 Dually with more room and two more doors.
