96 2WD steering components
96 with 230K miles. 2WD. Researching some steering components.
Upper/lower BJ, tie rod ends, pitman arm and drag link.
Truck steers good, not great, but good. Little bit of play in steering but not horrible.
my question, SO many different manufacturers of parts. Most recently I ran into Moog. Are they good, great or just ordinary.
Warranty...they are great to have but who has the time to tear down the front end to redo a BJ that is covered under warranty. Like everyone else, I'd like to put it in and not worry about it for a few years. (not referring to Moog, just generally speaking)
Whats works well and won't kill me in wallet?
do the larger chain box stores do a decent product?
thanks

On-line, they sell a comprehensive whole front end for just under $300. One of those major size discount on-line, sell everything for every application stores.

Today, it is a crap shoot.
Not that long ago, I would have recommended Moog or Spicer without hesitation.
If I am going thru the pain and the expense, I still use Moog myself, though I cop to one of my joints in the front end being somewhat loose after only 40K miles...... Moogs at that.

Moog is still the best.
You can get or at least order them through Advance auto, Oreilly's and autozone.
Just hold fast to the Moog and don't fall for the "moog makes it under a different name". Yes they make some others but they put their name on the best they make and someone elses name on the rest.
