'94 2wd Front Suspension Height
I am trying to find a good way to tell how much / if my front springs have sagged out in the last 250k miles. It rides very harsh, and I am looking for a good reference to measure. I am running stock size tires. Ground to fender lip or something like that would be much appreciated.

When I broght my truck home in Sept 94 I measured the front where the wheel well starts to turn under in the middle of the rim 34 1/2". rear 37 5/8" with stock tires still the same today 117K. Its on my shop wall.

Pat, I don't think it is millimeters (or even centimeters) - at least, not in all cases. If you run those measurements through a metric/English conversion, you don't get reasonable numbers for some of the dimensions.
For instance, the "100" dimension from the bottom of the transmission crossmember - 100mm is 3.94 inches, and 100cm would be 39.37 inches. Neither is reasonable for a crossmember-height for a stock 2WD. However, the "913" dimension between the mounts on the outside of the front frame horns converts from millimeters to 35.94 inches, which may be reasonable. Maybe a different basis is used for height than width? Or maybe the ground isn't the starting point for the height measurements?

That was my conclusion as well, perhaps a factory jig? In any instance, I would take the relative difference at 2 or 3 points and compare them with my actual, so if front inspection hole is "Y" above rear spring mount, I would call front measurement rear actual ht. plus "Y".
