The light doesn't work with the normal testing. It only turns on if the actuator is pressed from the CAD on the axle. I doubt the light is burned out since it is an LED. You can't replace the light, but have to change out the whole panel. Take the actuator cover off, remove the vacuum motor and push the axle sleeve over to see if it works. Does your 4x4 engage (jumping going around corners on pavement)?

There are 2 black wires on a plug that connect to your CAD on the front axle. Make sure they are intact and put some dielectric grease on the plug contacts.
You can always pull you're transfer case in gear, then take a short piece of wire and jump the two on the plug. If the light comes on, it's the ball switch on the cad.

Down on your CAD disconnect the electrical connector should be a two wire connector, put a jumper from one wire to the other, w/key on. If the light comes on the switch is bad or not moving enough. You could also check to see if you have power on one of the wires.
