4" lift in front, need control arms?

I want to add 2" of lift to my front end, it already has 2" spacers, so it would be a total of 4 inches, do I need to get upper and lower control arms? or just lowers? Wondering cause I see several kits out there that only include the lowers and use the stocks uppers.

I say all 4. I have only 3" lift and I just installed new arms yesterday. It makes a huge difference !

Wicked500R... can you describe the difference? Did you drive with the 3" lift for awhile and only change the arms?

I have a 2.25" lift with custom coils and am just curious what difference you notice.

The difference is in the location of the axle. The truck also rides 100X better than it was but that's due to the nice new bushings and the track bar adjustment I made to get the axle centered. Happy Easter !

also, if you are looking for tire clearence you need the control arms, the stock ones will just swing the axle back twards the rear and cause rubbing issues on the back corner of the fender.

The new bushings... you referring to the bushings in the control arms or other bushings?

What brand are those??? Skyjacker?

I have the adjustable trackbar and have centered the axle, but with the 2.25" lift, I seem to get aq bi tmore bump steer. The bilsteins may also be not quite as good as when they were new.

Thanks for the info and nice job. Happy Easter to you as well.

IMO, I would change out all 4. By changing one and not the entire set you're changing the driveline angles and positon of the axles.....not a good idea. When changing them out make sure you use bushings from the same mfg as other brands may not match. Example- you cannot use factory control arm busings on skyjacker control arms. Really when you start "piecing" a system together your utilizing changing their engineering and by mix-matching parts your outcome and overall ride is going to be subpar....aka suck.
