Im getting ready to park my truck soon and im wondering where the best places are to get the 3rd gen. track bar kit and all the front end bushings and stuff. Also with the the 3rd gen. track bar kit does the track bar come with the kit or do you have to get that from a dealer? Thanks

To be specific...the 3rd gen bracket is seperate from the track bar. You can get a the 3rd gen TB from the dealer or aftermarket as 12vmudder shows on his list. The one 12vmudder got is also an adjustable 3rd gen bar which I also have. Here is another source for the bracket and bar with good pics of the stuff:

FWIW fleebay is a good place to look for the trackbar too, and the SSI Bracket.... Got my 3rd gen bar for under $100 shipped (07 takeoff) and the guy listed a second one the next week- went for even less.

I recommend looking for TRW joints instead of Moog. Both owned by the same company, but Moog is the lower grade (yes, sad but true!). Lots of guys on another board or two I've been on had issues with Moogs. Also price out through Rockauto.com- some of the best prices I've found on that kind of thing.

You can also get a 2nd Gen SSSSS, 3rd Gen zero-deflection trackbar bushings, control arms, urethane and LazarLinks for the swaybar here.

Thank you for the useful post. I also have a 96 4x4 CC, LB that need the front end rebuilt. Why did you use steering parts for a 99 3500? What is the "T" steering set up?
