Have you ever sat in the 3rd Gen seats? They are the worst seats ever put into a truck.

Before you do the swap, make sure you spend some quality time sitting in the seats. On any trip over an hour long I'd have terrible back pain and felt like I needed a walker when I got out (I'm only 23!). I never had any of these problems with my 95 or 01. Just my 05.

Search in the 3rd Gen forums for seats and you'll find plenty of reading.

I like the '95 40/20/40 split I swapped for the stock bench in my '97, and its better than the 03+ seats too, they suck on long hauls...

I'm 6'4" and drove my buddy's '05 with power seats(cloth) and felt they were a great improvement over my '99 manual seats. However, the fabric had already split out on driver's side, not good. On the other hand,I've got another '05 buddy with an SLT manual seat setup that suck the big one! Total lack of thigh support.
