3500 or 4500 pound front axle?

I have a 1996 dodge ram 2500 cummins diesel. It is a 3/4 ton truck with a gvw of 8800. I do not know if the front axle if 35 or 4500 pounds. Also if I have a Dana 60, or Dana 80. Im thinking its 4500 but have no difinitive way of knowing. Any help in figuring this out is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tom.

It's a dana 60 front, assuming it's 4wd, rated at 4500lbs.

As stated, 8800 GVW equates to 4500 Lb Dana 60 front, rear will be a 70 if Auto and 80 if manual trans, assuming all stock.

The dana 80 has an "80" cast into it on the driver's side front of the housing. It is upside down and looks like 08 from under the truck...at least mine does
