315's on stock rig
I noticed posts of people saying they were running 315 tires, and it didn't appear that the vehicle was lifted, and the rims were definitely stock...can anyone tell me how well the 315's fit up front on their CTD's? I have an 01 4x4 QCSB, stock ride height and stock rims, and looking at trying to fill up the fenderwells a bit next set of tires I have to get...can anyone tell me if I'll be rubbing on a full lock turn with 315's on the stock setup?

i think most people that run 315s have a leveling kit, i think, not positive tho. i have 285s and they fill out the wheel well pretty well i think. hope this helps but dont bet the farm on what i think. im sure someone else will chime in.

usually you need to do a leveling kit which would just lift the front 2" but even then they still might rub at full lock which isn't bad. i have 285's and they look too small lot more room in the wheel wells.

I have the 315x75x16 Pro comps. I also have the 2 inch leveling kit. They do rub occasionally if i hit a bump with my wheels turned just right. In fact I had to take the front mud flaps off because it sounded like it was going to rip them off going around any turn, even on flat road.
I like the looks of them though, but i went with that size mainly to offset the 4.10 gears i have with a bigger tire. If i could clear a bigger tire i would run it but its already sort of a climb to get in the cab. maybe someday...
ps. mine stick out roughly 2 inches in the front, not quite as bad in the back. I need fender flares as it is impossible to keep the truck clean even on pavement. they'll throw stuff on the mirrors, hood, windshield, doors
Also they are on a 16x7 Alcoa wheel. Backspacing may be different than factory to affect rub and how far they stick out

I have 315s on H2 wheels with no lift on my '96 4x4. The front mud flaps were rubbing a bit, so I pulled them. It still rubs a bit when the front suspension is compressed and I'm making a turn.
