Congrats, 460,000 miles on mine but it just took a ride home behind my dads powerstroke, transmission is not happy

You all are driving babies. I turned 781k miles yesterday and have met several 1,000,000 mile owners.

We are slowly growing up!

How many miles did you get on a clutch? I have 271600+ on my original clutch. I'm wondering how much longer it will go.

You all need to join the Cummins 100,000 mile club.
Good for a badge and 10% discount on Cummins parts.

Like a dummy I replaced mine after 5th gear came off at 96k. I am sure it would have lasted well over 200k, even towing the weights I pull. I have never worn out a clutch plate, but have broken several and had to replace one for a leaking rear main.

Thanks for the info. I am going to see how many miles I get out of this clutch. It still feels strong and I still do some towing. I haven't had a problem with the 5th gear nut. Tranny still working good.

Mine is sitting at 299,950 right now.....it will have 50 more in the next day or so. On the 2nd clutch as far as I know. The previous owner had it on a dyno once, and the shop tech smoked the clutch and replaced it.

Nice, I'm expecting mine to last that long but I'm only at 103K!

Congrats.

269,734 on my 1995.

Seems I've read somewhere that Cummins suggests the rod bearings be changed at 300,000 miles. Anyone else read that anywhere?

I just hit 200k a few weeks ago. Did a good service on her and discovered the rear end was coming apart. Had to replace the Ring & pinion and bearings (Dana 70). Kinda bitter sweet.
