I just got home... I was driving about 50 mph when I hit a pothole in the road. All of a sudden the truck starts wobbling violently. I thought I blew a tire at first, so I slowly pull over and check it out. The wobbling stopped as I slowed to 20 mph. Everything was fine... Then I drove it home normally. But this scared me, I couldn't imagine if it happened on the freeway. Has this happened to anyone else?

I have not had it on my 2wd yet. My ball joints are starting to show some wear and I'll do them before to long.

I did have it on our 01 4x4 that was stolen. The cruise set at 75 with traffic all around . While trying to get the dealer to fix it we videoed it. The net result was ball joints and someones attempt to align it with bad ball joints. It was kind of funny, my wife was alseep in the passenger side when it did it . Here is a link to the video.

2wd ¾ ton do not get the infamous death wobble caused by a worn tracking (lateral rod) bar and/or trailing arms.
We do get our own unique set of problems with worn ball joints & wheel bearings.
We share the same issues with steering components, shocks, wheels, and tires.

Your not kidding... The tires are suppose to continue rolling foreward not wobbling left to right!!!

Nope, it became the insurance companies truck. The thieves totaled it. They rand ran it into several trees and cacti. I tried to Lemon law the truck because the dealer would not fix it. I reported the issue to them the day after we bought it. Then it was stolen 29 days after we made the purchase. I am still thinking about going to the A.G. and trying to get my down payment back from them.
