The 2nd Gen Era questions
Why was there no crewcab? Ford & Chevy had them, but I think Dodge had the superior engine. So I would tend to think that they could have sold a lot of trucks that Chevy & Ford ended up getting the sale on due to no crewcab.
Why was there no HD versions(4500, 5500 or 6500)? Seems that Mexico had them. Why not here. Again, I think if Dodge would have offered these they would have taken a large share from Ford & Chevy(especially Ford since the Chevys are big trucks unlike the 450 & 550).
So what are the reasons for this? Ford and/or Chevy pay them not to compete or what?

The questions you ask can all be reconstructed to read,
"How come Chrysler went bankrupt?"
The answer is a poor upper management that paid little attention to what the public wanted.

True Bill, true. I just wondered if there was any logical reason. Seems to me like poor decisions also.
I mean you already have the hd trucks in Mexico and we know there was/is a market for them.

I tried looking it up too, and found nothing. I think it was this site that I heard about it. Maybe someone will chime in with a name for it
