2nd gen 4x4 dually max tire size

hey guys. time for some new tread. any suggestions? i have 2234/85/16s on there now want to go bigger but do not want to rub or lift anything. want aggressive tread that handles good on highway and isnt too soft.....

If you do not tow to heavy look at some 255-85-16 tires.
Well a quick search and BFG has load range E tires in that size.

Mine's got some pretty good sized tires on it, i'll check the size when I get home & post a pic. Tires are Bridgestone Dueler Revos - so far i'm nothing but impressed with them in everything from snow/ice to sand & mud.


The previous owner who put the tires on did have to put a spacer between the tires in the rear - I think its a 1" or 1.5" - i'll check for sure tonight for you.

i ran spacers for three years no probs, get what you pay for. only downside is sixteen more nuts to take off to rotate tires. my 2 cents. was running 285/75/16 destination mts looked great

they were inch and half, i think, have to measure them. see if i have a pic, just changed it to single wheel truck last week, but i got pics somewhere.

this is only pic of rear of truck and its bad. didnt have a single pic of truck before i took it apart. but you can tell little bit.
