2002 4x4 steering

Is this a direct fit for a 2002 4x4? I have read enuff to get myself confused.

Well, the first thing you need to do is figure out what is wrong/worn out/ missing etc. with your truck.

Chances are your trac bar went south which caused your ball joints and rod ends to wear beyond spec. Too far gone and your steering box may also be in need of repair/replacement.

There is no trac bar in that "upgrade" kit. Probably the first item that went south...

This is my question. Is this a direct replacement?
What is wrong is I spent the extra money to put moog crap on it only 50k ago. Left inner tie rod is loose already.

Side note:
I had also put moog ball joints on then - the truck didn't drive worth a crap. I replaced the moog with Napa and the ball joints are fine.

There have been a lot of guys that bolted it right on a 2002. With 16" rims, some had to do a bit of grinding on a TRE mount stud or casting flash for clearance.

Good luck with the NAPA ball joints, hope they last.

After using both and changing them several times, the XRF ball joints are holding up.
