Question 2001.5 dodge 2500 diesel "I THINK"

I just bought a 2001.5 dodge 2500 " I think"
It has four wheel disc brakes, but it has a 2001 label in the door. Thats why I think that it is a 2001.5
I am looking for "Manual flip up towing mirrors" to replace a broken drivers side mirror. All the ones I have found are for the 2002 model. My long winded question is "Does the 2001.5 have the body of the 2001 or the 2002?"
I am a dodge rookie so anyhelp would be much appreciated.

01.5

If it has 4 wheel disc. it's a 01.5 . 2500's go into the 02 model year, 1500's started the new body style in 02. you need flip up's from a 2000 to 2002 2500/3500 (maybe a little earlier, i could be off) hope this helps.

Your truck is really a 2001, just called a 2001.5 on the boards to separate mid year model changes. The 2001's came out in January 2000. 2001.5 started in July 2000.

The 02 flip ups will fit just right, same mounting bracket in 01/02.

I think you may be refering to the difference between 2nd and 3rd gen
The 2nd gen 3/4 tons were 94-2002
The 2nd gen 1/2 tons were 94-2001
So the 02 1/2 ton mirror wont fit on a 02 3/4 ton since they were different body styles

I don't mean to hijack the thread but how can you tell a 3/4 from a 1/2 ton by looking at the mirrors? What other differances are there? Sory for the noob questions but I want to gain as much info as I can before I join the club and buy a used 2500.

first thanks for all of the input. i really appreciate it. I am a serious Rookie at this.
next, the mirrors I was talking about are for towing and I dont think they dont really make alot of towing stuff for the 1/2 ton.

The brackets are the same, so you can't tell by the mirrors, there are some 1500 out there with the towing mirrors. Till 98 they were the same anyway.

Here ya go. I just bought some from here a few weeks ago. Cheapest i've found anywhere else. With shipping and handling it came out right around $200 even. That includes 2 mirrors and everything you'll need to install them.
