I prefer 12v's too but, I love duallys, if it's a diesel it's a dually for me so i'm stuck with the CR but it's fine with me.

I dont understand what you are saying. There were 12 valve duallys.

The only disadvantage to the 12valve is you cannot adjust power on the fly. Which is a very nice feature of the 24 valve.

But the 12valves do have better pumps and are cheaper to modify. And smoke more too.

Is the 12 V the same thing as the straight six that was put in so many
cherrypickers.
If so , that was a very good engine.

!2 valves to those of us that run them are like a good bourbon. We have aquired a taste for them. So take what we say with that in mind.

However, when the 24 valve builds the same rep as the 12, which is wide and deep, who can say?

Anyway,
The only way you are going to get me to let go of my 12 valve is by prying the keys from my cold dead fingers...
