02 was the switching year for the 1500's. 03 was the switching year for the HD trucks. If something is listed for an 01 model year, then it should fit all the models.

I have emailed them to double check they will fit. If they do I will order a set. I don't think 160 a side is to steep, If you do the swap it cost alot more to buy both sets of mirrors.

Especially since heated/power ****'s are about 360 IIRC, and they're not "oem". Yes, these ones aren't either, but at least they look it if they're the real deal.

Well, let us know how it goes. BTW, I have found **** heated/power mirrors online for $320. I know they aren't stock, but I hear they provide lots more visibility.

There's a guy I see at the lumber yard w/ the ****'s. They don't look that bad and they definitely have a bigger glass than the stockers. I'm reluctant to believe Kool-vue is making a power/heated set for the 2nd gens as the year division gets confused among many aftermarket suppliers. The 3rd gen body style is different and the mounting shapes do not coincide w/ the 2nd gens. There are three bolts for each but the contour of the doors and width of pillars is different. The 2nd gen 1500 ended for the 2001 model year. A 2002 1500 is a 3rd gen body style. The 2500/3500 2nd gen ended with the 2002 model year. A 2003 2500/3500 is a 3rd gen body style. This discrepancy shows up for all kinds of aftermarket items, interior and exterior alike.

If these are available they are well worth it just so you don't have to change out the arms. This process involves some grinding w/ a dremel tool and a rewire of the controls because the 3rd gens differ from the 2nd gens at the control switch. The only mod I needed to make for the connection was shortening the back lower mounting bolt to accomodate the control lever for moving the mirrors.
If a company is manufacturing these I imagine they will be a hot seller because inquiries about this mod come up all the time here and on other sites. In my opinion the stock tow mirrors are the best looking for the 2nd gens and I will stick with them, doing the 2nd/3rd modification myself for the power heat feature. Kurt

So I haven'got an email back yet, so I am going to try and phone tomorrow to find out. But if you look at the pic of it that i posted check out the wire. On 3rd gens the plug is right at the base of the mirror with no extra wire but these ones look to have about a foot of wire sticking out.

I have the towing mirrors on my '02 already but they are not powered or heated. I would obviously have to buy the other components with the heat switch and the mirror adjustment. Is the wiring harness already in the truck? And where could I find the climate control panel with heat switch and the mirror adjustment ****

Wiring harness probably isn't there. You would have to find the control panel from a boneyard or from a dealer or wire it to a on/off switch. The control **** I am not so sure about nut you may have to find a whole new door panel and control ****.

Mopar #'s

Switch-56021311
switch nut-6503107
****-56007040
Heat control-5015737AA

After reading about these, I pulled my pass door panel and my 01.5 with factory non-power tow mirror option has the wiring harness.

Anyways I called car-parts.com today and ordered some, they said they will fit. As soon as they get here I'll post if there right or not. If not I can send them back.

Will do. The site I ordered them from even gave me 25 bucks off for being a first time customer, so the total with shipping was I think $320. Which I think wasn't to bad if they are right.
