Where to get code info
Climbing a pretty good hill last week pulling about 15k and the truck sputtered for about 1 second and ran fine the rest the way. No drop in fuel pressure and all other guages checked OK. It acted like the key was turned off for a split second. I probably should have been down one gear from here I was but was not getting hot so stayed in 5th. The check engine light came on and has been on since. Got to destination and checked for a code. It showed P PCU any body know what it means?
Thanks for any info.

P PCU means it's checking the PCM, and there wasn't a code.
It should have read P ECU, P PCU, P Done.
(or maybe it's PCU, then ECU).
If there were any codes, it would have shown them after it showed it was checking the PCM and the ECM.
Must remember, not all codes show up with the key on/off method.
If the check engine light came on there should be a code though.
I would have it checked at Autozone, they check codes for free.
If you don't have an Autozone handy, any major parts house should be able to check.
Worse comes to worse, there is always the dealer.

Phox, thanks for the reply, will try Auto zone in next day or so, when I get time, hopefully keep dealer out of as I dont want to remove comp.
Truck not daily driver and seems like there are not enough hours in the day here lately.
