when and if to adjust valves?

i did mine today. wasnt to bad around 1.5 hours or so.
its pretty easy you should be able to re use the gasket with no problem. if your going to check them you might as well ajust them.

If you are going to check them, you might as well do it. You still have to get TDC, pull the valve cover off, and check them. Might as well just do them. You will find they are probably in-spec., but I put mine to the minimums. They were all within the entire range.

Cummins did mine @ 125K and after talking with the tech noted to "leave them alone unless they got noisy". For fun, I checked them @ 200K and replaced the cover gasket... no adjustment needed, all were in proper spec.
Now I'm @ 265K and I'm thinking in the fall to donate $150 to Cummins just for the peace of mind of knowing the clearance.

im wondering if i should do mine. seems to be a little more noisy than it used to be.
