Re:warranty question
I think I remember reading in my warranty information booklet that you have up to 3 years or 36,000 miles to purchase the extended warranty. Your entire power train should be covered for 7 years or 70,000 miles under the standard vehicle warranty depending on when you purchased your truck. Check your warranty information book that is with your owners manual. Any 2001 or 2002 vehicle purchased new after July 9th 2002, comes with a 7 year or 70,000 mile powertrain warranty automatically. After the base 3 year or 36,000 miles there is a $100.00 deductable per repair visit on covered powertrain repairs.

It might be in the warranty pamphlet that you have to <br>"See Dealer for a Copy of Limited Warranty: A Deductible Applies"<br><br>That is in the small print on the current rotation of Dodge commercials.<br><br><br>phox

Re:warranty question
bryan5791, your truck came with the basic 36/36 warranty on the transmission, with no applied deductable. <br><br>malibu, the 100,000 mile warranty you are talking about was an EXTENDED warranty offering. You would have to have paid extra for it and it would have had a deductable for any covered repair after the 36/36 basic warranty expired.<br> <br>Daimler Chrysler's Service Contracts (extended warranties) are transferable for a fee.

Re:warranty question
Bought mine in April of 01 and we got the 10/100,000 or something like that extended warranty bumper-to-bumper. All I know is that it covers the tranny (unfortunately) and it lasts for 100,000 miles.

Re:warranty question
The question was with regards to the "trans" warranty, which prior to July 9th 2002 only came under the basic warranty of 36/36,000. The only way it would go beyond this point prior to this date would be under the optional extended warranty. The Cummins motor is another subject. Prior to July 9th the basic warranty on the 24 valve was 7 yrs.100,000 miles.

Re:warranty question
I got my truck in May 02 an it also came with a 7/100K powertrain warranty at no extra cost . It was part of a promotion that Chrysler was running at the time. To compete with some of the 0% deals going on.

Re:warranty question
When I purchased mine in March of 2002, the 7/100,000 warranty information did not come with the vehicle. It arrived several months later in a mailing from DC. I knew it was included in the purchase however.
