Warm up
My diesel only has 25k on it and after start up and the coil light goes out..I take off. Should I wait longer? I have been having some stalling problems lately and was wondering if that could be related to that. Thanks..Dave

I generally wait until I get oil pressure for about 30 sec before I start driving, unless I take a trip to the northern cold country and it's 150 deg below freezing my you know whats off, then I'll let it run for about 5 min before driving.

well... it's going down to 13° tonight, so tomorrow morning I'll fire it up - put it in neutral and rev it at about 1200 RPM for about 30 sec to a minute and head out on my way.... I usually just take it easy for a mile or two...

I fire mine up, buckle up, turn the radio on, turn the a/c on,take a drink of coffe, and hit the road. I wait till the temp is reading over 140 before going over 2k rpms, or heavy throttle.

Well mine is ver similar to the two of you...
Fire up... Let it idle about 1 to 2 minutes then I will drive down the the driveway approx 300 feet... Then sit at the edge of the highway and wait for traffic to really clear. This can add another 1- 2 minutes somedays... Then start walking her through the gears keeping below 2K on the tach and get up t0 55-60 MPH and keep it light until about 160 F on the guage.
If I'm wanting to warm it quickly I will get up to 55 MPH turn on the jake brake and let her brake until the tach falls to about 1,200 RPM then work it back up slowly... It will build heat faster.
