Hey my buddy is thinkin of doing a 24 valve swap into his 99 chevy one ton that last year he just put in a new 6.3L turbo diesel and it threw a rod this weekend. We were going to atempt it then but there just wasnt enuff aftermarket support yet for doing a conversion like this. He wanted to after I did my 12valve swap into 86 half ton with NV4500 but the new 6.3L turbo was the same amount of money and time was an issue. But now that the motor crapped out in a year and only 18000miles he is thinking of swapping in a CTD again but got a few issues before doing the swap. I am just wondering if anyone makes a controller to run the tc lock-up on a 4L80E?(Be a lil cheaper than going with a NV4500) Just checking here before calling fleece. Also does anyone make a plug-n-play wire harness to put a 24valve in a chevy so he still can use original gauges?

So no one has went and swapped a 6.5L turbo diesel for a cummins in a 99 chevy! This could be a pipe dream cant find any companies that have a way to control a 4L80E and a piggyback cummins harness!! Might just be worth his effort to rebuild and trade for a dodge like he was going to do a 1.5 years ago!
