Question want to put a common rail engine in a 2000 truck

I have a common rail engine that is out of a 2006, i have a 2000 model diesel truck, and i want to put the 06 engine in my 2000 truck. anyone have any ideas on how to make it work, or who to talk too? thanks

Had one running on a pallet, only takes like 3 wires to run.

You can get an engine wire harness from painless but the price isn't so painless.

what 3 wires? also mike who is painless? how do i get a hold of them? phone# or web site name?

CR fueling & everythign? I have a CR head on mine & all it took is custome crossover tubes to match up the VP lines to the injectors.

yeah im wanting to take the whole engine, and swap it out with an 06 engine, and i looked at that painless website, wow those prices were definately not painless!

so how do i figure out what wires to hook power to? do i just run 12v to the 3 wires? or is the voltage different?

I would think you would just need the ECM/ECU & wiring to make it work, you would prob get one out of a wrecked truck from a junk yard, Good luck with the swap. I have seen it dont in a 1st gen...
