vp44 replacement costs
A diesel shop here in GA, Tifton to be exact, quoted me $1025.00 for a replacement vp44.
I told him the situation, and he said that it might just be the lift pump. Told me to bring it in and he would check it for me. I bought a lift pump from Cummins in Tampa, FL. He said $60 to put it on for me...
Sound Good???

Hey Happy,
That price on the vp44 sounds about right in the ball game, labor cost on the replaceing the lift pump also sounds about right, even a little better than fair, but its not that big of a deal to replace the lift pump, but if you dont want to climb on in that engine compartment,$60.00 is not to out of line. I am sure dealer would charge at least a hour or two at $75-$90 bucks a hour.
