vp44 FPCM (PSG 5)
Would there be any interest in a custom vp44 electronics module? There's no programming information available for the FPCM, so I don't think anyone will ever 'reprogram' one to eliminate the max. fuel restriction.
I'd seriously consider building a custom module if there were some interest. I'd have to come up with a vp44 core that is in good mechanical shape, with a bad FPCM. Not a cheap project to start.

Yes, I think the module is responsible for a lot of failures. If it were out of the heat it would help. A stand alone non ecm version would be great for re-powering and conversion projects too.

My pump is going bad. I can start it when its cold and it runs just fine. No problems. However if I warm the motor it takes at least 20 seconds of cranking to get it started.
I think my pump is alright, just bad electronics.
Does anyone know if all rebuilt vp44's have the upgraded FedEx upgrades or is it just with certain rebuilders? I am going to be looking for a new one once my oldest is married in a couple weeks.
