Question VP44 and Fass

I just had my vp44 replaced the other day and i also put on a fass fuel system. I've read a lot of horror stories on this forum about continious vp44 failure. My question is do these relocated fuel systems (Fass, blue pump, walbro etc.) take care of the problem?

NOTHING is perfect, but the a/m lift pumps do seem to be popular....

You will most certainly need a FP gauge - and you should add the pyro and boost gauges as well, for you will SURELY be mod'ing the rig in the future!

The FASS you put on there is much, much better then the one that came on the truck. But Rauschbo is correct, you do need, at least, a fp gage. All after market pumps are electro/mechanical and no matter who makes it, they are subject to weakening or failure. No one can predict the life span of a VP44, but it is commonly agreed that a better pump will cut down on the chance of it getting hot due to lack of fuel flow.
