Vp 44 Injector Pump Help
I Am Hoping Someone Can Help Me Out. I Want To Know Which Wires Control The Fuel Shutoff Valve On The Injector Pump. This Is A 1999 So There Is No External Shutoff Valve. I Believe My Valve In Not Operating All Of The Time. I Don't Think The Hold In Coil Is Operating Properly. Causing Varaitions In Cranking Times. Any Help Is Greatly Appreciated.

Statement is not true for a VP44. You can look at the ECM and VP44 connections to assure no water or corrosion is present. Buss signal messages generally will not allow any message when dead. Does number of hours it has been off have a effect? How about being parked uphill or down? Have you checked all electircal grounds and battery cables? Have the batteries tested separatelly.

Need Help
I Have Tested Both Batteries And Connections. It Does Not Matter If You Park Up Hill Or Down Hill Has No Effect. Some Days It Might Crank Right Up Other Days You Might Run The Batteries Down Before It Cranks. I Have No Idea Anymore. It Would Be Different If It Was A Consistant Problem. Every Cranking Time Varies.

Don't know anything about the what wires do what other than the fuel solinoid the fueling boxes control but when my pump died that is how it started. It started find some times, then other it would take cranking for ever. Then it went to always to taking forever, then stranded me on the highway when it died completly. This might buy you time if you can figure it out but likely the pump is on it way out.

Fuel shut off is pin 5 on the VP44 connector.
If you are looking at the harness side of the connector, below the smiley face on the left side find the three pins. Pin 5 is the second one down.
