Valve adjustment

I was told in the 130k range. I would say that you could if you want or wait a little longer. Not that I'm suggesting to do so but I'm sure there's guys who've never adjusted their valves. I just understand that it can increase power a little and regain some fuel mileage.

...........I adjusted mine at 305 kilometers.......these were my symptoms .....reduced fuel economy and power....on cold starts it wouldnt start good and when it did , its would shake like crazy for a couple of minutes and smoke like crazy.......i set my valves/tappets to the maximum which i think was .015 intake and .0.30 exhaust.....that cured all 3 problems at once.....kim.....I used a short socket on the alternator to turn the engine...........

I just purchased the truck dirt cheap, the previous owner said he hadn't done anything with the truck since he bought it with just over 100,000. The miss I had at idle is completely gone, I was beginning to think I had a dirty injector. Still gonna change them and do more mods soon.

The Cummins baring tool works great and there's free shipping at Amazon.com or cheaper at Geno's Garage
