Updated tests done, still a mystery.
Thanks to everyone throwing suggestions to help us solve my problem. Here is a link to the old thread a few weeks ago. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=213458
So, it did it again last nite. No check engine light for a few days...Then i was idfling at a intersection and liht pops on and truck dies like someone turned key completely off. I turned the key backwards and then back on and it fired up like nothing was ever wrong, but the light stays on. These 4 codes came up. 1693 , 0230 , 1689 , 0336 . Without a power loss or coughing or anything, does it still sound like a vp44 or does it sound like a sensor?

You are trying to pass GO and collect 200 dollars. Keep playing around and it will totally let you down, when it does not need to happen. Gave you a free pass from jail and you didn't take it.
0336 is Crank position sensor ----
0230 lift pump circuit (electrical) ----
1689 is no cumminication ECM and VP44 ----
The crank position sensor is relativelly cheap and can be replaced with 10 mm 1/4 drive and long extension and a beer or three.
As I said before a reman VP44 is in your near future. Replace lift pump also unless absolutelly sure it's O'K. Sorry.
