are updated dodge trannies any count

I can get the reman from dodge for $1600 with converter...dodge says they have been updated several times and are much different then what is in my truck now....question is does anyone know if they are any better?

That's the first I've ever heard about that. They might mean the new tranny in the 3rd gens which is better than the 47re but I don't think they are putting that in. If it was up to me, I'd go after market.

If I were you, I would go with an aftermarket for a few dollars more. At least you will know exactly what you are getting.

well I was afraid youwere going to say that...Ithink I am going with a good a/m converter and vb with a local rebuild.

First ive heard of it...i know the dealers here in canada want 10,000 dollars for a new tranny installed.
