Turbo or electrical
My rpm gauge falls to zero at normal operating temperature. My turbo shuts off at the same time. After a cooling off period, all operates normally. Any suggestions.???

What do you mean by your turbo shuts off? They do stop when the engine quits. They are driven by exhaust gasses. If your truck is quitting when warm, there is a really good chance that it is electrial/electronic. Do you have any codes? Fill in your signature so we know what you have.

Reading up on your other topic post, and as other's have said. It sounds like you are having a weird electrical problem that is stopping fuel from being injected into the cylinders....or your VP44 is taking a dump, the dead pedal...not injecting any fuel because it is well dieing..but your electrical is still acting up. The only way the Turbo wills top "running" is if there is no exhaust pressure/gas to push it. So if your engine stops injecting fuel, and goes to just idle, then yes it would seem like your turbo has "shut off".
I didn't read the entire post, but have you found any codes or anything like that?
