Truck will only idle
I have a '99 Dodge Cummins that has had the light on for about two days. Last night it suddenly died and when I restarted the engine it would only idle. There was no response to the throttle and the throttle cable in still in tact. Any ideas?

Try following this procedure.

It should get you back on the road for awhile.
You'll proably need to start looking for a APPS soon though.
I'm in the same boat.

It is the big sensor that the throttle cable hooks to on your engine
where the cable hooks...sometimes is covered with a plastic cover..sometimes not
it is located directly above the VP44...and I believe is mounted with 3 bolts

24 valve engines are fly-by-wire, no physical connection between the go-fast pedal and the engine,
computer does everything.
