I have a problem with the truck when I turn the comp box on 5x5 and hit the gas. It feels like surging (cutting in and out). Just like if you hold the throttle in the same position and your upping the power box from 1 to 2 to 3 and so on it has a surging feeling on 5x5 and you start to get into it. I have 15 psi for fuel at WOT.
Do you think the VP44 is going bad (about 1500 miles since I pierced the wire) (blue chip pump cover). Or is the box going bad?

What do you guys think???

I have heard of a few comp boxes doing this.

I would check the ground...maybe run it directly to the battery or somewhere solid. A few guys have sent their box back to Edge and got it checked...I have not heard of repeat troubles...so, check your connections, and if it still does it, contact your comp salesman.

I am assuming you do not have a surge problem without the comp....

correct i have hot noticed any surging except on 5x5
