Make sure this didnt eat up the wires going to our harness....this may cause some issues with the FASS. Clean the crap out of them with some bakeing soda and water, and get some Batt terminal sealer to protect them. Get fuel pressure reading as well.....

Well i cleaned the batteries and wrapped foil around the alt wire. Also reset the apps. Have driven it about 70 miles and so far it is good.
The surging is hard to explain, it only does it at cruising speed. Felt similar to running out of fuel, foot sliding on off the peddle. Tach would jump 3-400 rpms as well.

Well after cleaning the batteries and resetting apps this did not fix the problem. It is getting worse. The truck feels like it defuels and refuels. Im thinking it is the vp44 or the apps. Anyone have anymore ideas.

I forgot to add that fuelk pressure is same as always(17psi)idle and 15 psi at cruise. It doesnt seem like the tranny is hunting gears. It acts like it is trying to run out of fuel. New fuel filter and water seperator. Having some hard starts. Warm or cold. No codes.
I have an appoontment at daves diesel on thurs would like to have some ideas maybe a fix before then.
Thanks

Well just got in it to go run some errands. The cel is on and now have a 0122 code. Truck will barely run. Will the throttle pos. sensor really cause it to run that bad. Sorry to be a pain.

TP Sensor Voltage Low
Might check that APPS with a scanner that can show Data Stream and see if is jumping around when cycling the pedal........OR try that APPS readjust (NOT THE RESET) and see if you can get your base line again. BUT i would check the APPS with a scanner that can read voltage or % of operation before i dropped $400.00 on one. Heck, even a volt meter could do this....
AND yes....it could........

I would try to recalibrate the voltage as Dan said. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...n&onlynewfaq=1

My 01 is doing the very same thing steady as a rock fuel psi but feels like my foot bliped the throttle. I was wondering if it was the apps goin south as last week i had the 0500 code for the speed sensor
