Truck Quit
I guess my fuel gauge is off.Wen't to turn in kroger to get fuel and truck died.Gauge showed about eighth of a tank and fuel light was not on yet.AAA came out a towed me 100 yards to fuel pump.I filled it up cycled the lift pump and got her runnin.Dumped half a bottle of power service in her just in case it was water or something.Seems ok now.

How many gallons of fuel did it take to fill. I think you have a 35 gal tank. My 2002 quad long bed has 35 gal.
That should give you an idea if it was empty, or some other problem.
I have learned the hard way that E on the gage don't mean enuff.

I didn't fill it up.I put 40.00 in it at 2.05 gl.It got me almot three quarters of a tank.I have driven 50 miles from work to home befor with the fuel light on.Even after the fuel light comes on it should have about 8 gls left.It was a hard turn up hill into the gas station Idon't if the fuel ran away from the pickup for a second to suck air or not.

With all the problems these LP give us I never let mine get below 1/2 unless I'm traveling. The LP has less work to do, there is less air in the fuel, and less air for condensation inside the tank to form.
One thing you never want to do in a diesel is run out of fuel.
