Truck falls flat at 2500 RPM

I just replaced the map sensor and now I'm not losing power over the whole power band or smoking out the intersection but when winding the truck out in lower gears (on the flat, don't notice it in higher gears) or climbing a steep grade while accelerating in all gears the power goes flat out at 2500 RPM...up until then it pulls really strong. I also had to unplug my Van Aaken as it was acting up but this is unrelated...I have Jammer II nozzles and I thought injectors helped you out up high in the RPM's...

Thanks for any help...
John

Do you have to reset the apps after changing the VP? I didn't think anything with that changed when replacing the VP.

I'm not familiar with the VA, but did that box provide boost fooling?

No this box has no boost fooling ("Smartbox R")...but I have a boost elbow that is still in place...no I didn't reset the AAPS...never heard that before but the VP is 4 months old, this just started. It also seems that while my intown mileage has remained the same my highway mileage has dropped (yes it also dropped when I unhooked the VA box but it just fell off more)

I just looked at the Van Aaken website, they list the Smartbox R as having a boost fooler...

A built in boost delimiter is included on both the van Aaken SmartBox™R and the van Aaken SmartBox™V5 for full adjustability.

The elbow only allows the watesgate to open at a higher boost level, that has nothing to do with the what the ECM sees with regard to boost..

A Bosch Service guy told me that once. Since the VP44 and APPS are the contorl system for putting fuel in when the driver wants it, they need to be recogized by the ECM as a calibrated pair of items for the systems as a whole.

intuitively, it makes sense, but whether it is actually true or not.....

I do think the motor is being fuel limited. I just don't know by what.

I stand corrected...when I bought the box a few years ago (and on another site) I was told there was no boost fooling in this box (could they have updated it?)...I'm betting that is the problem, is there any harm to run it like this...I'm getting the Beta Race Box in a day or two???

I don't see any problem running that way until you get the Quad Race box.
