Truck died, turns over, no start???

I was cruising along and noticed I was losing speed, then realized nothing changed with more pedal. Truck was dead, so I coasted off the highway and tried to restart. It just spins over. My fuel pressure was good and no misses or any bad behavior at all, the truck was running perfect. This truck has never had any weird running problems like I've read about. Reading the codes from the odometer I get 0500, 0460, 1693, and 0602. I don't remember but I think some of those are always there since the MAD ECM years ago. I hooked up a OBDII scanner and it read just 0602 "ECM Fueling Calibration Error". Has anybody had their truck just go dead like this? One time I had the TPS thing give me a dead pedal, but I don't think it died, and I removed it and cleaned/claibrated it, and never had anymore trouble.

How do you know for sure if the injector pump is bad? This pump has ~90,000 miles on it. I've had many lift pump failures, but I always see the pressure drop on my gauge and change them, so the VP has never starved for fuel.

Where do I start? I guess I'm going to have it towed home.

Fixed!! Went out and hooked up the scan tool and continued looking everything over. In the fuse panel under the hood with fuses and relays there is a relay for the fuel system. I figured what the heck, so I pulled it and swapped in the horn relay. Truck fired up ran a little rough for ~45 sec. then perfect. Shut it down and restarted several times with no problems...truck is back to running perfect.

If your truck just dies on you and leaves you stranded, turns over but won't start...check the relays!!! I would've been ****** if I would have ordered a new VP44.

Congratulations. I've learned reading here that fuel system is the whole engine/performance deal. Anything that goes wrong affects the running of the engine. I noticed how one of the six battery ground wires can cause the engined to run rough. Suckin' air or loose connections means no run. You've found another culprit.

How many are there for cryin' out loud?
