Truck Died: No Codes
Engine died on me yesterday while humming down the hwy at 80 mph. No warning. Just up and quit. I checked the odo for codes. Nothing. Engine would crank, but not fire. Not running a fuel pressure guage, so can't say what fuel pressure was. Last time the lift pump went bad, it threw codes. Truck is bone stock without any mods/boxes. ~137K on the odo. I bought the truck brand new and put every mile on it myself, so I can say with certainty that she's been well cared for. Standyne used regularly. Never really pulled anything till recently. Just purchased a 28' toy hauler, so the truck has been getting a workout here in the CO mountains. I've been reading threads for hours. Sounds like either the VP44 or I ran it out of fuel due to a bad sending unit in the fuel tank giving me a bad reading at the guage (my luck isn't this good). It's at the *********** now and they're gonna look at it tomorrow. Am I overlooking any other potential problems here? Will the *********** give me options insofar as replacement injector pumps are concerned (aftermarket vs Mopar)?
