Truck acting funny

Just today I pulled up to a stop light and after a few seconds it felt like someone had bumped the truck from behind. No one there and when i tried too pull away from the stop light, the truck had a hesitation.

5 minutes later i was in the micky d's drive thru and same thing except i could also here a sound, almost sounded and felt like a miss, or a hairball. I know stupid analogy, but every time i felt the truck move (even in neutral and park) it also sounded like a cat wheezing to rid a hair ball.

Also yesterday was -25, and today it is 22, those are farenheit.

anyone have this problem, or any ideas what it could be??

Thanks, Jon.

I had this exact thing happen to my truck back in december. I think the name of the part thats going bad is called a governor pressure solenoid and transducer, don't quote me on that for sure. It is what makes the truck shift down in to 1st gear when you are slowing down. My truck was still covered under the 70,000 mile warranty so it got replaced for free. if you take it to the dealer they will, well at least mine did, replace the whole Valve Body. But for a $100 detuctable i wasn't gonna argue. I was told this by several other members that it was the governor pressure solenoid so your's is mostly likely it. Try not to drive it till you can get it in for repair, you don't want to trash the rest of the tranny.

Mine did not do it in Park, but it did it a few times in neutral. Just curious, have you tried manually shifting your truck off a stop. If i started mine out in 1st it wouldn't do it at all, that was the only way i could drive it to get it to the dealer other wise it was getting some higher RPM's before it would move off a stop.

Sounds to me like it maybe your shift censor in the tranny. When mine went bad in my 99 the truck just wouldn't shift gears, I had to do it manually. I did try power braking it in front of my house in each gear to see if it was the specific gears themselves..

Didn't realize I was going to dig a hole in the pavement! LOL

Check my photo's for proof.. LOL
