Trouble code...not sure what it means

P1689- No Communication Between ECM & Injection Pump Module

I have the overboost code, and this one...i "think" i had a dead pedal once but it was a very short period of time, and i really cant tell what the issue may have been. no P0216 code, my IP has about 8K on it, and my FASS with big lines keeps fuel pressure at 14 idle, no less than 9 at WOT

what does this code mean?

also i am going to clear the codes at autozone after work and see if they come back

It means the ECM and the VP44 aren't talking to each other.

Hazarding a guess, I'd say the problem is in your Van Aaken or it's connectors.

I borrowed a buddy's comp and I got a couple of new codes, I can't remember what they were, but it was something IP related, but not 0216. It scared the crap outta me. It turned out to be the comp/ wiring harness. Good luck.
