My truck is a 98.5 with the stock auto. It does not like to shift into 3rd I think. I cant feel the 1-2 shift but when I'm driving and shift it into 1 it downshifts. After a while, sometimes seconds sometimes miles it will finally shift into 3rd and after that it will work like normal until the truck is shut off. If the truck is warm when I start it, the shift will happen sooner than when its cold. The truck is not starting in second gear. The only thing I've done to the transmission is to replace the torque converter and raise the pressure just above what stock should be when I put an edge ez in the truck about 2 years ago. It has 149K on it now.

I change the filter and adjust the bands every 30K. I just replaced the governor solenoid and pressure transducer last week. I also ran a ground wire from the PCM to the battery and reset the APPS. After running the ground wire it seems to work better but its still not right. The ground wire is 8 gauge.

The only other thing I've found to try is to replace the speed sensor. Anybody have anything else to try?

I'm hauling a boat 150 miles tomorrow, then a motorcycle 170 miles sunday, and a jeep 210 miles monday. I hope it shifts because that's a long trip at 25 mph. Then I'll have the jeep to cruise if I have to take the truck apart.
