Transmission Line Troubles!!!!
I hope someone can give me some answers. I just got home from work and when I got out I noticed a small drip of transmission fluid. After looking I found it is coming from where the metal line connects to the rubber line in the coupling. Does this require a new line or is there a o-ring in there that I can change. Thanks for the help

After more inspection I concluded that I need a new line most likey. Do you think it is the rubber line with the quick connect or the metal. It is leaking out of the quick connect

I do not know for that yr , are there flats for wrench's ?
If so take apart & change hose end , if not , find someone thats good with tubing tools , cut & flare the line , then have a new hose end made , you want some flex , because the eng./trans. moves separate from the cooler .
Mine wore through the metal line by rubbing on the crank case vent , could not find 1/2" aluminized lines , except from the over priced dealer .
So I used 1/2" cooper tubing & compression fittings , to patch in about a 3" section .

ok i had the same problem. to get the quick connect off you use a ford fuel line tool, the metal ones are easier to work with than plastic ones. you cant find the quick connect any where, you have to buy the complete hose. dont get the complete line from dodge its $90 and it didnt stop the leak. just get some heater hose a little bit longer than the oem line and get some hose clamps. attach the line over the flare and clamp it. it works great and it was a $3.25 fix. that made me really mad cause i done bought the rubber line with the quick connect from dodge for $90 and that didnt fix it but the $3.25 for the heater hose and hose clamps did. so since i done installed it the dodge place didnt take it back.

I'm not sure you want to use "heater hose" I got hose made for transmissions on mine from the auto parts store. The outside dia. was smaller and built to withstand higher pressure.
