Transmission

I have a 2000 Ram 2500 Cummins with automatic transmission. To shift into 2nd and 3rd I have to let off the throttle. I changed the fluid and filter but didn't help. 115000 miles.
Any ideas ?

Could be a number of things. When you're coming to a stop does the trans. down shift all the way to first?

Yes. It shifts down fine. Only when I take off is there a problem.
