Transfer case ???
I have a problem when using 4 low. It will just pop out of gear. 4 high works fine no problems at all. After looking in the troubleshooting section of the service manual it mentions that it could be a worn shift fork. I have read about that being an issue on here before as well as other sites. Anyone know why a shift fork would get worn (I dont know what a shift fork is). I use 4wd but very rarely use 4low. If it is worn I would love to know what causes it.
And even more importantly how hard is it to fix. Pull the t case out and do major disection of it or is it something an average joe could do?

More than likely it is just the linkage.
It's too tight when in 4low, so any flex pops it out.
As for the how to's on fixing it, I don't know, maybe get underneath and check it out and see if there are any adjustment points.
