trans .swap
I have a 2001 3500 dually and I'm sick of overdrive and 2nd constantly slipping. I was hoping someone could suggest a GM trans that could replace my current

All GM builds anymore is worse than what you have. Even their Allison is a weak link in the Duramax.
I would contact a top notch transmission shop and have a chat. The Dodge unit can be made bullet proof and for a lot less than a conversion to something worse.
