Trans shifting in and out of lockup
Is there a outside sensor or computer Dohicky that goes bad that causes the trans to shift in and out of lock up ?
My truck was doing the in out ,in out,in out ,RPM chage back nd forth going up a slite grade about 45 mph empty. Just did it that one time. Was just doing it at that speed. Doesnt do it when I get on the highway.

i tried something on my truck when it was doing that. You have to disconect the battery and reset something with the gas pedal. look through some previous info and it will tell you exactly. it works.

Resetting the APPS (which is what Trex was refering to also) could not hurt. But 45 mph is about where a 3.55 auto tranny, on a grade, would be confused about maybe wanting to downshift.
I keep mine OD locked out...pretty much under 50-55 mph at all times. Drives better with a lot lower EGT's!
