trans help! need a reliable tranny combo

its been a while since i have posted cause my 01 ram hasn't skipped a beat in years. the other day the truck started flaring in o/d lock up again.. i have the apps filter installed which fixed my tranny for years.. flares worse on light throttle, if i excellerate its gone, not sure if my torque converter is slipping on light throttle?? what is a bullet proof tranny for a reasonable price? i have upgraded my 47re to all 48 re internals with pump and converter. i tried to install the 48 valve body but kept getting over pressure faults so i put my 47 valvebody back in with the shift kit. i dont want hard shifts just a reliable tranny..

I have a DTT voltage regulator on my truck... as well as the DTT transmission. The DTT valve body operates at a higher pressure, so the sensor in the transmission sends a signal that is "out of range" which would throw an overpressure code. The DTT voltage regulator is adjusted to a voltage that is within normal parameters. You then snip the wire from the tranny sensor and connect the ECM end of that wire to the voltage regulator. The ECM is "fooled" into thinking that the valve body pressure is normal when in fact it is turned up to a higher pressure.

I have over 100,000 miles on the DTT transmission without a single problem. Just regular fluid & filter changes and regular band adjustments. I have the towing version of DTT's transmission with their towing valve body and torque converter. So far, it has been the single best mod I've made to the truck.

Make up a ground wire and run it from the transmission to one of the body grounds. All my grounds were spotless and it still was acting up till i did that..

located in Thunder Bay Canada. top of lake superior. i have since reset my apps and installed a BD pressurelock. no more flare.. only thing is the BD pressurelock even though its turned down alot in adjustment still gives me a overpressure fault in my pcm.. called BD tonight and they're gonna hopefully set me up with a diode in the valvebody to control the limp in issue.if not the DTT voltage regulator it will be.
