Tranny starts in second if I roll forward after a stop
Anyone had this problem?? After stopping. If I start right off it does fine. If I let the truck roll forward a few feet after stopping it will shift into second. It will then start off in second unless I give it enough throttle to have it downshift.
It also is going in and out of lock-up while driving down the road at highway speed and I'm having the ECM and PCM flashed hoping to fix that. I found a tech bulletin with the fix for that problem.

Sound like gov pres sol is sticking, screwing up or Gov pres Transducer is screwing up. Both are on VB.
Explain: If gov pres is above 1-3 psi unit will upshift. Sounds as if when take off, gov pres goes high, unit upshifts but does not downshift when stop.
A goofy brake switch will cause in and out of lockup at highway speeds. In addition a output shaft RPM sensor, or temp sensor, or LU sol could also.
You did check fluid level didn't you? What condition is fluid?

DTR's 'Go to Guy'
Sorry.....after re reading that post, I think your price was for the speed sensor, right? The gov pressure solenoids and transducers are quite a bit higher than that.

Any updates??? I have your exact problems aswell and my trans is new (16000km) all new electronics in it. locking unlocking wasn't noticeable until I added fuel (rv275's and a chip) .........but it has always started in 2nd unless i come to a complete stop like it doesn't downshift early enough.
